It has been a year of significant change so far for the food and beverage sector. Brexit inevitably dominated headlines and Britain’s decision to exit the EU will have a particularly strong impact on this sector. Nonetheless, the food and beverage industry is seen as having huge potential for future growth and the IGD expects the value of the world’s grocery market to increase by a third over the next five years, reaching $11.8 trillion by 2020.

Back by popular demand, our keynote speaker Clive Black, Head of Research at Shore Capital, will provide an overview of the key issues for the sector, looking back at the past 12 months and the year ahead. Clive is one of the UK’s top consumer analysts and previously worked at Northern Foods plc and the National Farmers Union, as well as acting as an external advisor to the Foods Standard Agency.

Our team of global sector experts will also provide you with practical tips on some of the key legal issues facing the sector currently, including the potential impact of Brexit, the implications of the rapid adoption of new technologies and online being the fastest-growing grocery channel, developments in global M&A, and compliance and safety in an age of ever-more complicated supply chains and increasing regulation.

We would be delighted if you could join us as our guest at this year’s conference.
