Food for thought: our guide to GSCOP
1st August 2017

In 2009 the Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP) was launched in the UK to regulate the relationship and practices between suppliers and designated retailers. For any large retailer or supplier, the likelihood is that GSCOP is used and referred to on a daily basis. Knowing GSCOP and the role of the Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA) is critical to the businesses of retailers and suppliers. Increased awareness and understanding of GSCOP means issues have been more frequently raised with the GCA. It is key then, that designated retailers and suppliers keep abreast of current GSCOP-related issues.
The GCA carries out an annual survey in order to obtain an understanding of issues being faced by suppliers.
Our guide provides an insight in to some current issues being monitored by the GCA and what it means for you, whether you’re a retailer or a supplier.
